Having spent eighteen years working for charities campaigning for better rights for disabled people as well as providing services to support people and their families it was perhaps easier for me to understand the problems but it is still quite a shock when it strikes at home.  It is not just ability to go upstairs she can’t look down to see the stairs in front of her but other things like putting baking tins in the oven when you can’t see where your hands are increases the risk of burns. Furthermore she was recently crossing over a road and not being able to look sideways whilst doing so meant she was hit by a car.  The injuries are not too severe but soaking up my time and she takes priority over the website at this time ...
