Save My Marriage Today
or Relationship Rescue.
First of all I believe
strongly in the sanctity of marriage I
am concerned about the apparent ease at which people who
have promised at a wedding ceremony in front to others to
love each other decide to leave their marriage partner.
"Till death do us part" (a quote from the UK traditional
wedding ceremony
— I don't know how widely it is
used elsewhere) should still mean something today.
"For
better or worse, in sickness and in health…"
Do you remember the love that brought the
two of you together that day? Seems but a distant memory today?
Yet it need not be gone for ever!
Nobody ever said it would be easy
and anyone who did was lying and certainly nothing
prepares you for the total life
change that you undertake in marriage. There is no manual
that comes with the marriage license that tells you how to
make things work. The couples I have
discussed this issue with have also said the marriage
preparation classes offered beforehand was either rejected
or totally inappropriate to them in their circumstances.
Sometimes love will conquer all problems and disagreements and it is great when
that happens. But with marriage rates falling and
divorce rates increasing at a phenomenal speed we are seeing
a lot of couples breaking up and looking for the next in a
long line of partners. Unsurprisingly the divorce rates for
second and third time marriages are as high if not higher
than for first time marriages.
The cost of weddings (and the
cost of divorces) are also going up so it does not matter
how much you spend on a super duper ceremony for your second
wedding it does not alone mean you will find guaranteed
success. So it was natural I would want to find a way of
saving marriages that were on the verge of breaking up.
Nobody said marriage was ever going to be
easy, and if they did, they were lying.
It’s perfectly normal in a marriage to have
disagreements and times when things involve a little more
effort than they used to. In an ideal world we would sit and
talk about these changes and differences in a calm and
rational manner, and establish an outcome and move on.
Unfortunately things just do not
always work like that. Its all too easy to get caught up in
the moment and let things deteriorate to the point where you
are both wondering why you are still in it.
As a website devoted to
promoting romance (and someone who believes in what I write)
I am disturbed by the growing number of relationships that
break up. I have also seen and read a number of books
that are sold to try to stop the divorce that are
— in my view
— a total waste of
money. I needed to be able to find a book that would
be able to save my marriage today. Not one that
told us what we should have done a couple of years
earlier.
I had read too many save
my marriage type books that MIGHT work in the early stages
but lets face it for people who are willing to read this
type of book it is usually well past that first stage and
the relationship is moving towards serious problems.
I started to despair of
ever finding anything that combined the serious help and
guidance needed to work through the problem properly along
with putting back some of the love and romance that the
relationship was first built on. It was then that a friend
of mine told me about the new book by Amy Waterman
Save My Marriage Today. To be honest this was a name
I did not know and I thought I knew of most of the people
writing on Love and Romance —
and read their books.
If you know anything
about me you would know I can be very sceptical of
advertising words that promise a garden of roses without the
occasional thorn stabbing you in the hand. As I reluctantly
got into the Save My Marriage Today book I
slowly realised that this was going to be different for the
rest of the books.
At last I had found a book I
could share. One I could put my name to without having
to feel guilty at recommending something that only did half
the job.
I believe this
book would be really helpful for couples with marital
difficulties. I don’t just mean just young couples either. This
book applies to couples young and old. So I thought I would
share this Save My Marriage Today
book with you too.
Neither does it skirt
over the hard problems it goes for the main issues. I have
not come across any other book on
how people can work on saving marriage by developing
positive ways to interact
together and strengthen their
failing marriage relationship.
Amy deals with topics such as:
- Tips on how to save (even
rescue) your
marriage when it looks
finished to everyone else
- How to reintroduce passion
- How to repair your marriage after an affair
- Self assessment about your
marriage relationship
- Gestures that are much
more important even than
the words
"I love you".
- And much, much more....
What I liked about the
Save My Marriage Today book is that it helps you to be
able to identify where you have been going wrong, and shows
you how to avoid those crucial mistakes that actually
jeopardize your chances of saving your failing marriage.
Yes it is true I frequently felt when
reading other books on the subject they were recommending
ideas I felt were guaranteed to destroy any chance of saving
your marriage. This one in my view handles it the right way.
To be totally honest
nothing can guarantee without fail that they can save a
marriage but anyone seriously applying the techniques has a
very good chance of doing so.
But don’t take my word for it, see
if
Save My Marriage Today
can help save your marriage.
PS if you have a friend
or relative who is experiencing these marriage problems buy
them this book and save them the heartbreak and sense of
failure being felt by so many who fail to
save the marriage
because they think it has gone too far already.

PS NOTE If
you are serious about saving your marriage but do not think
your marriage is yet in trouble I can seriously recommend
another couple of books that can rekindle a flagging
relationship. Both are by the same author who has
written one for the female and one for the male. See
my review on them at the bottom of the page
here
Ron has written for a number of years on romance and
romantic ideas during that time the has reviewed a large number of books on
the topic of romantic relationships. If you would like to recommend a
particular book for review on these pages please write to him by going to
